I've been toiling my bodice for the Countess gown. using some lovely (!) stripey scrap fabric I had, I tweaked my pattern a little and transfered the adjustments over to my paper patterns. I was using coutil - a fabric mainly used in corset production, as the lining to give my silk a sturdy base. I tacked all of my pieces together and hand sewed at least 70% of the bodice, if not more! I am so pleased with it though, I really think it looks like the painting!
